書「版」為知識傳播的載體，訂定標準，為書本的製造打下基礎；印「本」則為知識流通的媒介，隨書本的流傳、保存與使用，展現知識在時間中累積的獨特面貌。本展以珍貴的宋版書館藏為核心，引領觀眾回看千年前的閱讀如何發生與演變，並理解其與現代知識世界的緊密連結。

本展以宋版書為核心，從其由「版」與「本」共同構成的特性延伸展示概念。空間中以黑色木紋墩座與壁紙材質陳列展件，呈現雕版的堅硬厚實與「版」的秩序感；紙張的層疊與墨痕的氤氳，搭配圖文設計，展現「本」的細膩質感。紙與墨交織的視覺氛圍，引領觀眾走入宋版書的世界，感受其溫度與生命力。

The carved wooden “block”  formed the foundation of early book production, while the printed “edition” carried knowledge across generations, revealing how learning accumulated over time. Centered on a rare collection of Song-dynasty block-printed books, this exhibition invites visitors to explore how reading took shape a thousand years ago and how it continues to influence today’s knowledge culture.

The exhibition extends the dual nature of Song books—“block” and “edition”—into spatial design. Black wood-grain pedestals and dark walls evoke the solidity and order of carved blocks, while layered kozo papers and ink impressions express the delicate tactility of the printed edition. Their interplay creates a warm, atmospheric space that brings the vitality of Song printing into the present.
