The exhibition, themed around the year 1624, transcends island boundaries, gathering precious artifacts from various locations in Taiwan, Japan, and the Netherlands. It explores Taiwan's historical role within the Eurasian trade network and showcases the early connections between Taiwan and the world, highlighting its unique maritime cultural characteristics.

The exhibition design employs large-scale ocean-themed animations and immersive sound effects to evoke the atmosphere of a mysterious sea. Display cases constructed from glass easels and slender metal elements, set against the backdrop of the ocean animations, make the exhibits appear as if they are floating in the water. This creates a presentation full of movement and vitality, allowing visitors to experience the flourishing scene of early trade exchanges and the vibrant pulse of a grand era.
