The Hamasen Railway Museum vividly showcases the century-long development of Taiwan’s railway civilization through a combination of day-night lighting transitions and theater-grade sound and lighting effects. Unlike traditional railway exhibitions, the museum features railway scenes, tracks, and train models primarily in HO scale (1:87), with lighting creating a realistic atmosphere of alternating day and night. As the lighting changes, the railway scenes shift from the bustling activity of daytime to the quiet tranquility of night, immersing visitors in the evolving railway landscapes of Taiwan across different eras and time periods. The lighting effects not only emphasize the passage of time but also enhance spatial depth, bringing to life the history and cultural stories of Taiwan's railways in a more dynamic and three-dimensional way. As the train models run, visitors experience the transitions from sunrise to sunset, as if traveling through time to witness every significant moment in the history of Taiwan’s railway development, feeling the profound impact of railways on society, the economy, and culture.
