This exhibition, jointly curated by three major museums in Taiwan, showcases the historical presence of three main groups: the Indigenous peoples (National Taiwan Museum), Han commoners (National Museum of Taiwan History), and the government (National Palace Museum). Through the unique collections of these three institutions, the exhibition explores how these groups engage in dialogue with one another, reflecting the encounters, interactions, and exchanges of Taiwan’s diverse populations throughout history.

The display is arranged like a grand feast, with artifacts spread out across the space, each theme forming clusters throughout the exhibition hall. By using mesh screens and glass, a sense of openness and transparency is created, allowing the Indigenous, Han, and governmental perspectives to mirror and interact with each other. This arrangement creates a visual counterbalance of cultural styles in the space, embodying an equal and inclusive view of diverse cultures.

Flowing through the entire exhibition is a dynamic visual presentation, composed of over a thousand pieces from the three museums. A program interprets the visual characteristics of these artifacts, reassembling and rearranging them into a woven stream of moving images. With the aid of multimedia technology, the exhibition captures the cultural fluidity and blending that physical artifacts alone cannot fully convey, offering visitors a sense of the dynamic interplay and recombination of diverse cultures throughout Taiwan’s history.
